UNS S32750 pipe exhibits excellent resistance to chloride-induced pitting and crevice corrosion, with a PREN value of >=42-far exceeding that of 316L (PREN ~24) and standard duplex steel 2205 (PREN ~35). It operates reliably in H₂S-containing sour gas environments and concentrated chloride environments at temperatures above 60℃, without the risk of corrosion cracking.
With a yield strength of approximately 550 MPa-more than three times that of 316L-S32750 allows for a reduction in wall thickness of over 40% for the same pressure rating. This significantly lowers pipeline self-weight, material costs, and offshore installation expenses, making it particularly suitable for applications requiring weight reduction, such as subsea pipelines and platform risers.
- TORICH offers UNS S32750 pipe in both seamless and welded forms; custom outer diameters and wall thicknesses are available, with tolerances as tight as ±0.1mm.
- Pipe ends can be machined with 30℃/35℃/37.5℃ welding bevels per ASME B16.25, or threaded (NPT/BSPT) and socket-weld ends; flanges and quick-connect fittings rated for the appropriate pressure class can be pre-welded to reduce on-site installation work.
- Surface treatment options include mechanical polishing or electropolishing of the inner surface (Ra <= 0.4μm), pickling and passivation, bright annealing, and internal/external coatings (such as Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) and 3PE anti-corrosion coatings).

- Duplex 2205 (S32205) is a common alternative to S32750 for moderately corrosive oil and gas applications; with lower Cr, Mo, and PREN values, it is widely used in general marine engineering.
- For applications involving low chloride levels and moderately corrosive environments, 316L is a suitable choice, applicable to utility piping, instrumentation systems, and indoor processing equipment.
- For heat exchanger tube bundles requiring deep U-bends or severe cold forming, 254 SMO superaustenitic stainless steel is an option; it has a PREN of approximately 43 and offers excellent formability and low-temperature toughness.
- Subsea Oil Production Systems: Manifolds, jumpers, and umbilical hydraulic control lines.
- Topsides Processing Equipment: Production separator inlets/outlets, thermal treatment units, and seawater cooler tube bundles.
- Sour Service: Well-stream flowlines and gathering/transportation networks compliant with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.
- Chemical and Methanol Injection Lines: Resistant to high-concentration brines and acidic chemicals.
- Seawater Desalination and Firewater Systems: High-pressure reverse osmosis (RO) membrane housings and offshore platform booster pump piping.

Q: Does S32750 require post-weld heat treatment (PWHT)?
A: For critical oil and gas applications-particularly subsea components, sour service, or parts requiring maximum corrosion resistance-post-weld solution annealing at 1025–1125℃ followed by water quenching is strongly recommended.
Q: What is the maximum service temperature for S32750 piping?
A: It is generally recommended that the long-term service temperature does not exceed 300℃ (572℃F). Exceeding this temperature significantly increases the risk of brittle phase precipitation (such as the sigma phase), which can severely compromise toughness and corrosion resistance.
A: We can conduct standard hydrostatic testing at 1.5 times the design pressure or perform tests according to customer-specified standards to ensure 100% leak-tight integrity. 100% full-body eddy current or ultrasonic testing is also available.
